TERMS & CONDITIONS

By leaving any item with Shoe Lab Reno for cleaning, restoration, repair, conditioning, polishing, deodorizing, hat cleaning, or any related service, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions:

  1. SERVICE DISCLAIMER

Shoe Lab Reno provides professional cleaning and restoration services. While we use industry-standard methods, products, and equipment, results cannot be guaranteed due to differences in materials, age, wear, previous treatments, manufacturing defects, and condition of the item.

  1. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

Cleaning and restoration services are performed on a best-effort basis.

Shoe Lab Reno does not guarantee:

  • Complete stain removal

  • Complete odor removal

  • Full color restoration

  • Restoration to original factory condition

  • Permanent results

Some stains, discoloration, fading, cracking, yellowing, and material damage may be irreversible.

PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE

Customers are responsible for inspecting and disclosing any known damage before service.

Shoe Lab Reno is not responsible for:

  • Weak stitching

  • Dry rot

  • Cracked leather

  • Aged adhesives

  • Material separation

  • Brittle plastics

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Previous repair work

Certain cleaning or restoration processes may reveal hidden defects that existed before service.

  1. COLOR VARIATION

Color restoration, repainting, dyeing, whitening, and similar services may result in slight variations from original color tones.

Exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.

  1. LEATHER, SUEDE, NUBUCK & DELICATE MATERIALS

Certain materials may react unpredictably to cleaning and restoration.

By authorizing service, the customer acknowledges that slight texture changes, color shifts, fading, or variations may occur.

  1. TURNAROUND TIMES

Estimated completion dates are estimates only.

Actual completion times may vary depending on workload, material condition, parts availability, and service complexity.

Shoe Lab Reno shall not be liable for delays.

  1. STORAGE & ABANDONED ITEMS

Customers will be notified when their items are ready for pickup.

Items not picked up within 30 days of completion will incur a storage fee.

Items left unclaimed for more than 90 days may be considered abandoned and may be donated, disposed of, or sold to recover storage and service costs.

No compensation will be provided for abandoned items.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

In the event Shoe Lab Reno is found responsible for loss or damage, liability shall be limited to the lesser of:

A. The current fair market value of the item, or

B. Ten (10) times the amount paid for the service.

Shoe Lab Reno shall not be liable for sentimental value, collector value, replacement costs, lost profits, or consequential damages.

  1. CUSTOMER AUTHORIZATION

The customer authorizes Shoe Lab Reno to perform the requested services and acknowledges that all services carry inherent risks.

  1. PAYMENT POLICY

Payment is due at drop off unless otherwise agreed.

Items may be withheld until payment has been received in full.

  1. REFUNDS

Due to the nature of cleaning and restoration services:

  • No refunds will be issued after service completion.

  • No refunds will be issued based solely on dissatisfaction with cosmetic results when services have been performed as agreed.

  1. PHOTO AUTHORIZATION

Unless otherwise requested in writing, Shoe Lab Reno may photograph items before, during, and after service for quality control, training, marketing, advertising, website content, and social media use.

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By leaving an item with Shoe Lab Reno, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
